Hartlepool Writers Group (HWG) are pleased to announce the launch of a new website packed with news linked to member activities, writing projects and competitions in the North and North East. As well as being a central source of information for HWG members, there are live links to current writing support sources, writing tips, competitions and events. Here you will find some great stories in the Genre of 'Action & Adventure', 'Murder Mystery', 'Espionage', 'Thrillers', interesting 'Biographies' and writing with more than a scattering of good old fashioned 'Humour'!
If you want to find out more about the 'Author', click on the Navigation Menu Tab 'About'. Here you will discover an interview with the writer along with a short Author Bio. You can also access a very popular interview with 'AllAuthor' by clicking on the link.
To review a selection of Writer's Reference books, click on the 'Reference' Tab in the Navigation Menu. The titles listed are all available in E-Book (Kindle) and Paperback format. They cover a wide variety of subject matter and items of interest to other writers of Novels, Screenplay's and Scripts. These popular titles are designed as quick reference writers' companions only.
Author Quentin Cope and Publisher Mecurian Books, offer on a regular basis, access to FREE downloads of certain selected Kindle titles. These promotions are normally available for a limited time period and can be access from clicking on the 'Downloads' Tab on the Navigation Menu.

Night life in St. Petersburg carried with it a certain reputation. The best clubs were for the ‘best’ people; those with money, with power and exclusive government connections.
These were not places of fun and entertainment designed for tourists. They were expensive, elite places … and ‘The Golden Dolls’ was the most select of them all. Currency at this kind of establishment was the US Dollar and not the lowly Rouble; legal tender that in the not too distant past had been used to paper walls with in Communist Russia. Everything was on offer here … every single thing a man or woman might need in order to sink to the lowest levels of depravity!
ALLWORTH - Extract
The early morning summer light matured gradually, throwing long grey edged shadows across Hampstead Heath, the North London playground for the middle classes. This particular Friday morning, at a few minutes past five o’clock, a small group of well dressed gentlemen assembled on the west side of the Heath. They were there for a purpose, a deadly purpose, an illegal purpose. There was to be a duel and such an event had not been recorded as having taken place in England since 1852.
